Double Dog Dare-A-Thon

Assemble your team! Pick a house to spend the night. And get ready for some crazy challenges to complete, take pictures or videos, and upload back to us to compete for prizes, bragging rights, event scholarships, and other accolades! WE DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU! Double Dog Dare-a-Thon is an invest and invite event that takes place each spring. The goal is to provide students a fun opportunity to invite a friend to join them at church! This is the perfect opportunity to share their faith in a fun way. How it works: Students invite some friends for a sleepover on Saturday. At 5:00 p.m., they’ll receive access to this year’s list of dares. After completing each challenge, they’ll document their work with a photo or video and submit it to the website for our judges to evaluate. At church the following morning (during your student’s regular service hour), the winners of each dare will be announced, celebrated, and receive a prize. There will also be other fun games and raffles. Every student has a chance to win!

This is an interactive event that can be done from ANYWHERE. Make sure you register and check the supply list ahead of time to be prepared. Just complete the dares the night of the event with your friends and come Sunday morning for the celebration and prizes.

SUPPLY LIST:

• Balloons
  
• Tape (preferably masking tape or duct tape)
• Blindfolds (can be improvised with scarves or bandanas)
• Access to a variety of foods
• Newspapers (you’ll need plenty of paper)
• Watermelon (sliced)
• Costume materials (fabric scraps, old clothes, accessories)
• Paper and pens for jotting down ideas or sketches
• Household items for mini-golf course construction (e.g., cardboard tubes, plastic cups, golf balls)
• Camera or smartphone for documenting the event (optional but recommended)
• Scissors
• Markers or crayons for decorating and labeling
• (Optional) phone tripod for recording
